in 22 countries. He returned to Ireland in December 2005 and works with a number
of business ventures throughout Ireland.
Technical Director:
Mr Marto Hoary, B.Sc(Eng)., M.Eng., MIEEE,
A senior technology manager with a diverse portfolio of both
business and technology management experience, acquired leading multiple product
and process development projects with a number of multi-national corporations
over the past twenty years in Ireland, USA, Denmark and UK. He has a diversity
of achievements in mechanical, power, electronic, thermodynamic, software,
Information Technology management, Intellectual Property and with biomedical
engineering experience in orthopaedics, respiratory and vascular . This strong
technical background is commercially grounded with roles in corporate supply
chain management, global deployment of corporate business processes , sales and
marketing support and technology management for Multinational corporations. He
is a visiting lecturer to biomedical engineering students at National University
of Ireland Galway and Electronics engineers at Galway Mayo Institute of
Technology. Marto is co founder and executive director on the board of Embricon.

Mr Sherif Sultan, MB BCh MCh MD FRCSI DEVS DMD FRCS(Gen Vacs)
EBQS-VASC,
A Senior Consulting Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon, Chief of
Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at Galway University Hospital and Galway Clinic,
Chairman of the Western Vascular Institute. He has Over 550 publications mostly
international journals. He hosts the annual WVI Vascular Symposium in Galway.

invited to become a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has many
outstanding distinctions. He is a Senior clinical Lecturer at University College

Pat is a felPat is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified
Accountants (FCCA). His most recent role was worldwide CFO of a major software
division of Hewlett-Packard, with responsibility for several operations in the
US, the Far East and in Galway. Pat returned to Ireland in December 2004 and is
working with a number of HPSU companies in Ireland.
Head of Clinical Research:
Dr. Basma El Homasany, MBBCh, MSc, PhD
Dr El Homasany acquired her early research experience at Ains
Shams University, Cairo and at Al Zohour private hospital, El Harm, Giza, Egypt.
In 1998 she became a research scientist at Trinity College Dublin in the field
of molecular medicine she holds a Masters and Doctoral Degree in this field. She
brings excellent experience, focus and organization to the Embricon research
effort.
