Embricon has been announced as the winner of the Best International Emerging Company after the Connacht regional final in the fifth All-Island Seedcorn Business Competition 2007 organised by InterTradeIreland’s EquityNetwork.
Embricon, was founded in February of 2005 by Marto Hoary, Sherif Sultan and John Power. CEO is John Corcoran formerly CEO of Volex and CFO is Pat McGuire who was CFO of HP worldwide software division. Embricon are developing a novel and innovative technology for the surgical treatment of varicose veins. The new solution is designed to improve patient recovery time and greatly reduce post operative pain as well as increasing the effectiveness of the procedure. Embricon is now in the running for a prize fund of €100,000.
