January
2011: Embricon is pleased to announce it has received expressions of interest in
its innovative Endo Vascular Solution for the treatment of varicose veins from a
number of multinational medical device companies, and is currently exploring
possible relationships. The Company is also in direct discussion with investor
groups to obtain finance for the EVS pre-market trials planned for later this
year.
December 2010: Embricon is
pleased to announce it has recently completed PCT and US patents for its
innovative “EVS” varicose vein treatment device. It is now working towards the
development of final prototypes for pre-market human trials and ‘presenting’ at
the 9th International Vascular Symposium to be held June 2011 in Galway, Ireland
July 2010:
Embricon has successfully presented technical paper on its innovative
Endovascular Solution for the treatment of Varicose Veins at the 8th
International Vascular Symposium held at Galway Ireland. Over 200 vascular
surgeons and professionals attending the symposium received the paper, giving a
positive response by electronic vote on the future Embricon varicose vein
treatment.
August 2007:
Embricon Ltd is approved by the Enterprise Ireland Investment committee for
Research and Development capability funding.
January 2007:
Embricon Ltd is approved by Enterprise Ireland for an Innovation Partnership
with National University of Ireland Galway.
November 2006:
Embricon Ltd is approved for Business Expansion Scheme funding. Embricon, was
founded in February of 2005.
CFO is Pat McGuire who was CFO of HP worldwide
software division. Embricon are developing a novel and innovative technology for
the surgical treatment of varicose veins. The new solution is designed to
improve patient recovery time and greatly reduce post operative pain as well as
increasing the effectiveness of the procedure.
